Our Platinum Chardonnay is initially subtle in its expression. It has a very alluring glow, and the nose is cool and balanced. The wine starts to open with Asian pear, apricot, white peach and vanilla. The palate is silken and focused, possessing a sense of luxury, but held firmly together with wonderful acidity. Lemon curd, kiwi, macadamia, green banana, lime, cream and nutmeg are all wound up in a texturally thrilling package of liquid luxury. The wine tapers off seamlessly and leaves just a lingering sense of petrichor and ocean salinity. This wine is still a baby. We expect it to evolve beautifully for years to come.
This wine was fermented in barrel and aged on lees for 10 months. the composition of this blend is 25% new French oak, 16% stainless steel, and 59% neutral barrels.
