This wine is pale gold with a cool temperament, evoking spring on the Santa Ynez River. It leads with sweet smells of cottonwood, passion fruit, lemon curd, and vanilla. The palate is finely textured nectarine, white currant, and grilled pineapple. It follows, faintly chalky and bright, green pear, lime pith and gooseberry.
The wine was barrel fermented and aged for 6 months in 33% new and 67% neutral French oak barrels.
