This wine is dark red and spiced. It brings to mind fresh strawberries and raspberries, but with a mysterious tone. Green herbs, tobacco, and baking spices are intertwined with white peppercorn, vanilla bean and blackberry. The wine grips your palate with fresh red berries and balsamic reduction, a touch of mint, dark chocolate and campfire. It finishes warm and lifted, pushing more red fruits and vinous sweet tannin.
Most of this wine was aged for 16 months in neutral barrels. 20 percent of the wine was aged for 5 months in concrete before being blended together.
